3. Installation and Setup Assistance
Unless expressly stated on the product page, installation and setup assistance are not included in the purchase price of a digital product.
Purchasing a digital product does not include:
-
Installation

Remote-access assistance
-
Cabinet Vision configuration
-
Database configuration
-
Machine or post-processor setup
-
Tool configuration
-
Testing on your machinery
-
Training
-

-
Troubleshooting of unrelated computer, network or Cabinet Vision issues
Customers requiring installation, setup or configuration assistance must purchase the applicable setup or support service separately.
A customer’s inability to install or configure a product does not automatically mean that the product is faulty and does not create an entitlement to a refund.
4. Bug Fixes and Updates
Bug fixes and updates released by The Cabinet Mate for purchased products are provided at no additional charge unless otherwise stated.
Updates will normally be sent automatically to the email address associated with your order or made available through another electronic delivery method.
Automatic delivery does not include automatic installation.
You are responsible for:
-
Keeping your email address current
-
Downloading the update
-
Reviewing the update instructions
-
Backing up your Cabinet Vision data
-
Installing the update
-
Testing the update before production use
Installation assistance for bug fixes and updates is not included and must be purchased separately where required.
Where a product has a minor issue that can be corrected, The Cabinet Mate will generally first provide:
-
Troubleshooting instructions
-
A corrected file
-
A replacement download
-
A bug fix
-
An updated version
-
Another reasonable correction
A refund will not generally be provided for a minor issue that can be corrected within a reasonable time.
5. Australian Consumer Law
Our products and services come with consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law where that law applies.
Nothing in this Policy excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where a digital product has a major failure, you may be entitled to choose a refund or replacement.
A major failure may include circumstances where the product:
-
Is substantially different from its description
-
Has a serious problem that would have prevented a reasonable customer from purchasing it had they known about the problem
-
Cannot perform its normal stated purpose
-
Cannot perform a specific purpose that you disclosed and that we agreed it would perform
-
Cannot be corrected within a reasonable time
-
Is unsafe
Where a problem is minor and can be corrected, The Cabinet Mate is entitled to provide a correction, repair, replacement file or update within a reasonable time.
If a minor problem is not corrected within a reasonable time, you may have additional rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
6. Situations That Are Not Product Faults
A refund, repair or replacement will not generally be available where the problem was caused by:
-
Customer misuse
-
Customer modifications
-
Changes made by another programmer or consultant
-
Removal or modification of licence controls
-
Use with an unsupported Cabinet Vision version
-
Use with an unsupported Windows or third-party software version
-
Incorrect installation
-
Incorrect Cabinet Vision settings
-
Incorrect construction methods
-
Incorrect tool IDs or tooling
-
Incorrect machine or post-processor settings
-
Database corruption
-
Computer, server or network faults
-
Third-party software or hardware
-
Failure to follow the supplied instructions
-
Failure to install an available bug fix or update
-
Use outside the product’s documented purpose
-
Unauthorised copying, sharing or distribution
-
Information or specifications incorrectly supplied by the customer
Assistance with these matters may require the purchase of setup, support or custom-development services.
7. Compatibility
Before purchasing, you must check that the product supports your:
-
Cabinet Vision version
-
Cabinet Vision modules
-
Windows version
-
Database configuration
-
Machine and post-processor setup
-
Required tools and tool IDs
-
Other requirements listed on the product page
We do not guarantee that a product will remain compatible with every future Cabinet Vision, Windows, database, machine-software or third-party update.
Where The Cabinet Mate releases a compatibility update, it will normally be delivered under the Bug Fixes and Updates section of this Policy.
A third-party software change does not automatically make the original product defective.
8. Duplicate Purchases
You are responsible for checking your previous purchases before placing an order.
We are not required to refund an accidental duplicate purchase after the product has been delivered or accessed.
However, we may review genuine duplicate transactions at our discretion where:
-
The same customer purchased the same product twice
-
The transactions occurred within a short period
-
The second purchase has not been separately licensed, installed, downloaded or used
-
There is no indication of licence sharing or use by another business
Any discretionary refund does not create an obligation to approve future requests.
9. Services, Setup and Custom Development
Payments for setup assistance, remote support, consulting, training and custom development are not refundable merely because you change your mind.
Once work has commenced, you must pay for:
-
Work already completed
-
Time already spent
-
Meetings and consultations already provided
-
Research and development already undertaken
-
Custom files already created
-
Non-refundable third-party costs
-
Other work performed within the agreed scope
Completed service hours are not returnable or refundable.
If a service does not meet an applicable consumer guarantee, we will provide the remedy required under Australian Consumer Law.
Where a service problem can be corrected, we will generally first be given a reasonable opportunity to correct or resupply the service.
Custom products and services developed from customer instructions are not refundable merely because the customer later changes the requirements, provides incomplete information or decides not to use the completed work.
Changes outside the agreed scope may require an additional quotation.
10. Order Cancellations
Digital orders are normally processed and delivered shortly after payment.
Cancellation requests must be sent to support@thecabinetmate.com as soon as possible.
We cannot guarantee that an order can be cancelled after:
-
The digital file has been delivered
-
A download link has been issued
-
Access has been provided
-
A licence or activation has been issued
-
Installation has commenced
-
Setup or development work has commenced
Where an order has not yet been processed, delivered or commenced, we may approve a cancellation at our discretion.
This does not limit any rights available under Australian Consumer Law.

Processing times after a refund is issued may depend on the payment provider or financial institution.
13. Unauthorised Sharing and Refund Abuse
Refunds will not be provided as a means of obtaining, copying or retaining a digital product without payment.
We may refuse a discretionary refund and suspend access where we reasonably believe that:
-
A product has been copied or shared

A download link has been distributed
-
A licence has been transferred without permission

The product continues to be used after a refund request
